This statue, made of resin, is inspired from the statue of Saint Charbel in the monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya, the statues were bought in Lebanon at the monastery of Annaya.

9 October 1977, he and the crowds present in Annaya saw the Saint's hand light up for a few minutes, as if to bless the assembly on this important occasion.

The history of the original statue is truly wonderful. It was donated to the monastery by Badih and Rose Moukarzel, at Annaya Monastery, following the healing of Mrs. Rose. It is the work of the famous Lebanese sculptor of Armenian origin Zaven Hadichan. Zaven Hadichan Born in 1930 in Lebanon, he studied at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, then went to the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he stayed for 6 years.
Back in Lebanon, he opened his own studio, determined to remain in his homeland despite various job offers in Europe and the United States. He made the statue of Blessed Charbel in clay in his workshop in 1968, which he later sent to the Lagana art foundry in Naples, Italy. Hadichian recounts that on the eve of the Saint's canonisation, on 9 October 1977, he and the crowds present in Annaya saw the Saint's hand light up for a few minutes, as if to bless the assembly on this important occasion.
